Laurie Steber (board)
Laurie Steber has a degree in Psychology from the University of the South. She was a bed and breakfast owner before finding her passion for Senior Living 25 years ago. Laurie and her husband, Dan Gitomer, moved to Rome in October 2019 for the construction phase of The Spires at Berry College, where Laurie is the Executive Director. Giving to residents and helping them thrive as they age has been a focus in her life. While looking for other ways to impact the community, she met the DIGS contingent while buying some of their art projects at the Rome Christmas markets. Their mission excited her, and she began volunteering at the Art Club. The care and love in this organization were apparent from the beginning. Getting to know the families and members has been a joy. Being on the board represents further ways to benefit this community.
