John Frick (board)

John Fricks is a dedicated educator and director with Rome City Schools, bringing over a decade of experience in the field of education. Originally from Fyffe, AL, he pursued his passion for teaching after graduating from Shorter University in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, specializing in Secondary Mathematics and holding a minor in Religious Studies. Beginning his career at Rome High School, John’s commitment to student success and inclusive education led him to work closely with students with special needs, fostering an environment of support and growth. In 2023, John joined DIGS, where he continues to make a positive impact on the lives of students and staff. Driven by a thirst for knowledge and professional growth, John furthered his education at Kennesaw State University, earning a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology, a Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology Leadership, and a certification in Educational Leadership Tier I. His expertise in instructional technology, combined with his leadership skills, enhances his ability to empower educators and improve student learning outcomes. Outside of his professional endeavors, John enjoys traveling, football, swimming, and various outdoor activities. He firmly believes in the value of hard work and continuous learning as pathways to success in life.
